Mira Sorvino Welcomes a Son

Oscar winning actress Mira Sorvino, 38, and her husband Chris Backus, 24, welcomed their second child a boy named Johnny, according to People magazine.. The baby was born on Monday at 5:50 p.m. at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 14 oz., and was 21 inches long. "Both mother and son are doing very well and are both very healthy," the actress's rep Ed Choi, tells PEOPLE. "The entire family is thrilled at the addition of a baby brother for their daughter, Mattea." The addition of a boy was a surprise to Mira and Chris, as they had chosen not to find out the sex before the delivery. Johnny joins big sister Mattea Angel, 18 months.
