Olympic gymnasts Nadia Comaneci welcome first child, baby boy
Olympic champions Bart Conner, 48, and Nadia Comaneci, 44, welcomed the arrival of a healthy son, Dylan Paul, born Saturday morning in Oklahoma City. The baby was born a bit more than four weeks early by cesarean section at 10:26 am and is 17 inches long. Says new dad Bart, "He's a few weeks early, so he's a little small at 4 pounds, 10 ounces -- but he's just fantastic. He's awesome, in fact. He's really cute...Everything's great. We'll probably stay here a couple of days and then go home. So far, everything looks good. He's strong and healthy and Mom is doing great." Conner described his emotions as a mixture of excitement, fear, elation and terror. Comaneci won nine medals at the Montreal and Moscow Games, including five gold medals. Bart reveals the baby was named after his favorite musician, Bob Dylan, and former coach and business partner Paul Ziert. We want to congratulate the new parents! We are sure baby Dylan will turn out to be a fine athlete like his parents one day.
