Top 10 Baby Girl Names of 2008

We have collected the top 10 most popular baby girl names of 2008 with data from the Social Security Administration. We hope this helps parents choose or at least narrow down their choices for their baby girl. Gift givers should read this too as it will help with any personalized baby girl gifts that they had in mind. Emma at number one and Emily at number three have been top five names for the past ten years. As a symbol of the growth of the Hispanic community and population, Isabella came in at number two, taking the place of Madison which slipped to number four. Ava, Olivia, and Sophia came in at numbers four, five, and six, respectively. These three have been pretty strong staying in the top 15 for most of the past twenty years. Abigail was the big winner last year jumping eleven spots to number eight. Elizabeth and Chloe round out the top 10 most popular baby girl names of 2008. Our general advice for gift givers if they don't know the name but know the gender of the baby is to bring a baby girl gift baskets that are a little unique such as one with a rocking horse instead of the traditional woven baskets.
