Our designers give their two cents on the many styles of handcrafted custom necklaces including by material, pendant styles, and even chain types. For materials, silver, gold and then stainless steel are the most popular for charms and necklace chains. For charms, copper and base metals are also used but are less popular. By far the best charm shapes are the circular pendant charms with a diamond and square shape coming tied at second place. There are also many types of chains such as rolo link chains, beaded chains and loop link chains to consider. The classic loop link chain is by far the most popular.
